Great Blog, No Readers? Be Part of the Solution

Chuck Westbrook wants to end the problem of blogs with great content and no readers. “There is a simple way to discover under-appreciated blogs and help them reach the audience they deserve,” says Chuck. “In fact, with no special effort and in one fell swoop, you can now find these sites and reward the creator in a powerful way.”

He continues by outlining the problems:

1. Great Content but No Audience

There are many good blogs (according to Chuck a “ton”) being read by almost no one. This results in quality, worthwhile content forever buried and under-appreciated.

2. An Audience Hunting for Great Content

The best blogs don’t always rise to the top, especially in a field crowded with corporate blogs not afraid to spend big bucks to stay on top. This results in an audience who has to work hard to discover new content worth reading.

So what is Chuck’s solution? “Gather some nice bloggers who believe in helping good content rise. The more the merrier,” he says. “This becomes our group for the project. A good, lesser-known blog is chosen. Everyone in this group will read that blog for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, the group moves on to another blog to read.”

Chuck thinks his idea has crazy big potential, speculating that A-list bloggers may even join in. Hey, Chuck can dream. Right?
